Netflix has officially revealed the first trailer and images from Virgin River Season 7, giving fans an early look at what’s next for the streamer’s longest-running scripted drama. The new season premieres globally on March 12, 2026.
Picking up after Season 6’s wedding finale, Season 7 follows newlyweds Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) as they begin married life while pursuing their dream of adopting a baby. According to Netflix’s official logline, “Old loves smolder and new threats challenge Virgin River,” signaling that calm is once again in short supply.
Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith has confirmed the focus will remain on emotional stakes rather than relationship breakups, with Mel and Jack building a life together on their farm. Meanwhile, Doc Mullins faces serious pressure as his medical practice comes under investigation.
Several new faces join the cast this season, including Sara Canning as Victoria, a medical board investigator; Cody Kearsley as Clay, a former rodeo worker searching for his sister; and Austin Nichols in a mysterious role tied to Mel’s past. Returning cast members include Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure.
Season 7’s trailer and first-look photos tease major moments across the ensemble — from parenthood and romance to legal battles and long-simmering secrets — while Season 8 is already confirmed, with production expected later this year.
