‘Virgin River’ Season 7 Returns March 12 — A New Chapter Begins for Mel and Jack md14

Fans of Virgin River looking for another cozy small-town drama may want to check out a newly added Netflix series starring a familiar face from Gossip Girl.

The crime-comedy Good Cop/Bad Cop, led by Leighton Meester, recently arrived on Netflix UK, giving the short-lived CW series a new chance to find viewers.

Although the show only ran for one season last year, its growing fanbase hopes the streaming release could lead to renewed interest or even a possible revival.

Set in the quiet town of Eden Vale, the eight-episode series follows Lou Hickman (Meester), who has been the community’s only detective. Her world changes when she convinces her father, Police Chief “Big Hank” Hickman (Clancy Brown), to bring in additional help.

Things become complicated when Lou’s estranged brother Henry (Luke Cook) returns and joins the force, while she also navigates a budding romance with fellow detective Shane Carson (Devon Terrell).

With its light tone and charming small-town setting, the show has drawn comparisons to series like The Rookie, Death in Paradise, Virgin River, and Sullivan’s Crossing.

Many viewers have praised the series for its fun approach to crime storytelling. One IMDb reviewer called it “delightful,” saying the show focuses on entertainment rather than heavy themes, creating a relaxed and enjoyable watch.
