Virgin River Season 7 Gets Major Release Update as Resolutions Teased for “A Lot of Cliffhangers”
Mel and Jack will soon be back on our screens.

Fans of Virgin River finally have a clearer idea of when the beloved drama will return. According to star Benjamin Hollingsworth, Season 7 is now expected to premiere in March 2026.

Hollingsworth—who plays Dan Brady—shared the update during an appearance on FOX 5’s Good Day New York while promoting his new film The Christmas Ring. When the hosts asked directly about the release month, he confirmed it on air.

The actor also reflected on the show’s impressive trajectory, calling its Season 8 renewal “surreal” and adding: “To be the longest-running show is such a blessing. I love my character—I have such an attachment to Brady.”

What’s Ahead in Season 7

Hollingsworth teased that Season 7 will dive immediately into the fallout from last season’s dramatic cliffhangers.

“Brady left off having no money in his bank account,” he said, referencing the shocking twist that revealed Lark had drained his funds while secretly working with Jimmy.

He added, “He’s now broke (again), and Brie—his love, his first true real love—has now been proposed to by Mike with a plastic bottle-cap ring out of nowhere.”

With everything crashing down around him, Brady will be juggling multiple crises when the show returns. “He’s going to hunt down that money and find his ex-girlfriend, and he’s also going to navigate whether he can get back with Brie,” Hollingsworth shared.

No Official Confirmation from Netflix—Yet

While the March 2026 release window hasn’t been formally announced by Netflix, the streamer has already confirmed that the show will return sometime in 2026. CEO Ted Sarandos publicly acknowledged the upcoming season during an earnings call in October.

Season 7’s timing also marks a break in Virgin River’s usual pattern. Since premiering in 2019, the series has released a new season every year—but with Season 6 arriving in December 2024, fans will experience the first full calendar year without a new instalment.
