As Virgin River wraps filming on its highly anticipated sixth season, whispers from the set are turning into full-on fan frenzy. Despite Netflix’s best efforts to keep things under wraps, eagle-eyed fans, local Vancouverites, and a few leaked images have revealed some major developments — including the long-awaited expansion of the Sheridan family and what appears to be Mel and Jack’s wedding!
Here’s everything we know so far about Virgin River Season 6 — from the “new” Sheridan sisters to filming locations, returning cast, and what to expect from the final block of production.
💍 Mel & Jack’s Wedding May Finally Be Here
Photos leaked over the weekend — quickly scrubbed from Instagram but preserved forever on Reddit and Facebook — show Martin Henderson (Jack) in Marine dress uniform, standing beside Zibby Allen (Brie), Erin Kathleen Boyes, and Gigi Neil in elegant gowns.
Yes, that’s right: fans believe these are scenes from Jack and Mel’s wedding, filmed at their new countryside property. Actress Alexandra Breckenridge had previously hinted at a wedding setting while promoting the Christmas episodes, and these images may be the confirmation everyone’s been waiting for.
🎬 Filming Details:
-
The wedding scenes were part of the 5th and final filming block, directed by Virgin River veteran Monika Mitchell.
-
Filming wrapped on May 31st, 2025.
-
The property seen in the photos? A brand-new house and barn reportedly constructed on location at Martini Acres in Langley, part of the massive Martini Film Studios estate.
-
Additional scenes were shot at The Ferry Building Gallery in West Vancouver, a picturesque waterfront venue that would make the perfect backdrop for a Virgin River wedding.
👨👩👧👦 The Sheridan Family: Meet the New Sisters
Over the course of the series, fans have been left scratching their heads about just how many siblings Jack and Brie actually have. Season 6 might finally clear things up.
Photos suggest that Erin Kathleen Boyes and Gigi Neil will officially join the cast as new Sheridan sisters — seen sharing screen time with Zibby Allen (Brie) and Martin Henderson in what looks like a candid sibling selfie.
While character names haven’t been confirmed, these two actresses are expected to play Brie and Jack’s sisters, expanding the family storyline in a long-overdue way.

🗓️ When Will Season 6 Be Released?
While Netflix hasn’t confirmed a release date, all signs point to a 2025 premiere. With production officially wrapped as of May 31st, Virgin River Season 6 is well into post-production. Since it didn’t appear on Netflix’s list of 2024 returning series, fans should gear up for a release in the first half of 2025 — potentially in spring or early summer.
