‘Virgin River’ Season 6 Reportedly Ended Completely Differently. Mel and Jack Reveal Their Original Plans
Script changes aren’t unusual, but in the case of ‘Virgin River’ season 6, they’re on a bigger scale. The cast reveals what could have happened. Spoilers!
The Virgin River series is known for its twists and turns, especially in the final episodes. That’s no different in season 6 – we find out that Jack (Martin Henderson) is the father of Mel’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) baby, and Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) confesses that she lied about the twins. However, it turns out that the first version of the script was completely different from the final version shown in the series.
Virgin River – Season 6 Reportedly Has a Different Ending
Martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge spoke about the plot twists with ET Online, where they shared their original plans for the character arcs.
The actress couldn’t hide her joy at the development, as she felt really sorry for Mel. Martin Henderson shared a similar sentiment, and was glad that this was the end of the father-daughter drama.
Things seem to be going well, but we can’t forget that Jack has been emotional about Charmaine’s children, and the truth about her lie will definitely affect him psychologically.
“Virgin River” has been officially ordered for season 6, and it was recently announced that it will be getting a new showrunner. Current showrunner Sue Tenney will be replaced by Patrick Sean Smith (“Greek”). As of now, it’s unclear when we’ll see the next season.
