Virgin River Season 5 Trailer: While Mel and Jack Prepare for Parenthood, a New Crisis Threatens the Town
Netflix just dropped a trailer for Virgin River’s upcoming fifth season, and it’s literally fire.
As if Mel’s high-risk pregnancy wasn’t enough to keep fans up at night, the trailer for Part 1 reveals that the sleepy little town is in for a rude awakening.
Arriving on Thursday, Sept. 7, Virgin River‘s fifth season “features surprising new relationships, a shocking break-up, a difficult court trial, a heartbreaking goodbye and a wildfire that threatens the town, bringing some people of Virgin River together while tearing others apart,” per Netflix’s official logline.
More specifically, “issues of motherhood push Mel to make a big decision about her future at the clinic while her pregnancy unexpectedly sparks an emotional connection to her past.” Meanwhile, Jack seeks to “further prove himself to Mel” by finally engaging in “some long-overdue confrontations with his own demons, and of course, Charmaine.”
And on a more bittersweet note, “as Doc and Hope’s respective impairments throw their identities into question, the doctor and the mayor must find solace in their community, in their young new family, and in each other.”
Returning series regulars include Alexandra Breckenridge as Mel, Martin Henderson as Jack, Tim Matheson as Doc, Annette O’Toole as Hope, Colin Lawrence as Preacher, Benjamin Hollingsworth as Brady, Zibby Allen as Brie, Sarah Dugdale as Lizzie, Marco Grazzini as Mike, Mark Ghanimé as Cameron and Kai Bradbury as Denny, with Kandyse McClure joining the mix in a new role.
