Virgin River is Delivering a Spring Wedding Before Christmas, and We’re Thrilled!

Crisp autumn leaves, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin spice lattes go well with Virgin River Season 6 news, don’t you think?

We’re just settling into the comforts of Fall, but now we’re already thinking about what awaits us ahead of the Holiday season.

As Netflix reported, we officially have a Virgin River Season 6 premiere date, which comes with other fantastic news!

Virgin River Season 6 Kicks off the Holiday Season
Just beating out the official beginning of winter, Virgin River will return to Netflix on December 19.

It’s the perfect series to curl up with a hot beverage and binge ahead of the holiday season, don’t you think?

But will you be able to binge it?

We already know Netflix has developed a pesky habit of splitting up some of its best and most popular series, from Bridgerton and YOU to the upcoming Outer Banks, into two parts, with half of a season dropping one month and the other half dropping a month later.

Virgin River Season 6 Avoids Dreaded Split Season with Full-Season Drop
Yeah, we’re NOT a fan of that particular ploy for most of those series.

But thankfully, Virgin River Fanatics will be spared from the frustrating split-season tactic.

Instead, Netflix is releasing all TEN episodes at once for our viewing pleasure, and we can watch however we deem fit.

See what we mean about Netflix delivering a series of gifts with this Virgin River news?

This year, we must’ve been good to get these types of treats ahead of the holiday season.

As we know, Virgin River Season 6 will focus on Jack and Mel’s wedding, among other plots that the series will manage for many of the other beloved characters.

Mel and Jack’s Wedding is the Crown Jewel of the Season!
FINALLY, Mel and Jack are expected to tie the knot in a spring wedding, which means the Virgin River timeline will not align with ours.

But do any of us care?

Jack and Mel are getting married!

We can also expect another wedding somewhere on the horizon, and we can guess the fates of a few different couples.

We also have an idea of when that wedding will take place, roughly halfway through the season, where the sixth episode will have plenty of twists and turns, some love triangle action, and, of course, all that fun drama that comes with weddings.

Seriously, this wedding will be the event of Virgin River, and this community loves nothing more than gossip and drama.

Virgin River Season 6 Teases Its First Spinoff
However, the drama is described as “delightful,” so we hopefully won’t have to worry about anything too bad happening.

There will be no Red Wedding nonsense here!

The season will also feature some glimpses into the past, as we see Mel’s parents fall in love and learn about their previously unknown history in Virgin River.

Yes, Virgin River will take us back to the 1970s at some point in the sixth season, and we will see a bit of the love story between Mel’s parents.

And it’ll likely serve as a backdoor pilot or set the groundwork for the Virgin River spinoff focused on that love story when the series expands to a full franchise!

Virgin River Loves its Love Triangles!

When we last caught up with the Virgin River community, it was during that Virgin River Holiday Special event, and they left us with many cliffhangers, including Mel and her father.

We also saw Brady and Brie almost share a mistletoe kiss, to our delight (sorry, not sorry, Mike), and Preacher’s happiness with Kaia was short-lived when news broke about authorities finding Wes’ body.

Also, newbie couple Cam and Muriel faced some issues in their burgeoning and unexpected May/December romance, and Denny and Lizzie learned they were having a baby girl.

When Virgin River Season 6 returns, we will have so much delicious content to explore, and now we have an official date to count down the days!
