Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge has given fans an exciting hint for the release of the forthcoming seventh season.
The hit Netflix romance follows the small town adventures of Mel Monroe (played by Breckenridge), a nurse practitioner who starts a new life in the Northern California hamlet following a tragedy.
She soon meets bar owner and former Marine Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and the pair have a whirlwind romance, finally tying the knot at the end of season six.
With huge family revelations, shocking betrayals and a sudden disappearance, season seven is shaping up to be Virgin River’s most thrilling outing yet.
What’s even more thrilling is that it may be heading to screens in just a few months’ time.
Breckenridge recently took to her Instagram Stories to give her 1.3 million followers an exciting update on the series’ filming schedule.
“I feel like I’m on day 857 of filming season seven… We’re almost done!” she said, spilling on her exhaustion.
“Can you believe it? I can’t even believe it. Almost to the finish line.”
With the final scenes of Virgin River’s next chapter almost wrapped up, there’s a strong possibility the next episodes will be edited and ready to stream in the next few months.
Given a new season has released every year since the show began in 2019, Breckenridge clearly feels safe to assume the seventh season won’t be bucking that trend.
She went on: “I keep wondering if they’re going to put the show out this year. What do you guys think? Probably, right?
“I mean, if they have it, they’ll probably drop it… this year, 2025.”
Although she then admitted: “I don’t know any information. I’m the last to know.”
While the release date for each season has switched up from summer to winter in recent years, there’s no reason why the seventh instalment would take longer to launch.
All 10 episodes of season six dropped in December last year, making Mel and Jack’s heartwarming nuptials the perfect Christmas gift.
However, their wedding day was packed with drama for Jack’s sister Brie (Zibby Allen) and her ex Dan Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth).
Furthermore, the next morning was also full of surprises, as Mel received a startling offer from one of her patients while Jack made a disturbing discovery at Charmaine’s (Lauren Hammersley) home.
