Virgin River fans ‘prepare to suffer’ as they predict ‘catastrophe’ for Mel and Jack in season 6
With the return of Virgin River just around the corner, fans are already speculating about what’s in store for Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan.
Virgin River enthusiasts are buzzing with predictions about the fate of Mel Monroe (portrayed by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) as their much-anticipated wedding approaches.
The hit Netflix series, set to return next month, will witness the beloved couple’s walk down the aisle, but fans are bracing for a rollercoaster of drama.
Already greenlit for a seventh season even before its sixth has aired, Virgin River tracks Nurse Practitioner Mel’s journey from LA to a secluded town in northern California. Reddit has been ablaze with pleas to Netflix to “not let a catastrophe happen” during Mel’s significant moment.
One user, @Complete-Road-3229, exclaimed: “If there is one single catastrophe that happens on Jack and Mel’s big day, I am going to lose my s***!”
They continued: “That’s it. That’s the post. Carry on. No one wants it and no one is asking for it! Don’t do it, Netflix!” (sic)
In the thread, fellow fans speculated on the twists and turns awaiting the pair as they gear up to say ‘I do’, reports the Daily Record.
“It’s a drama, so of course there will be,” one fan logically pointed out. “But I’m sure everything will work out in the end at the last minute.”
Another quipped: “You have seen the show, right?” While a third chimed in: “You’ve got a month to get yourself prepared bc s*** will hit the fan for sure. It will be beautiful but in ‘true’ virgin river spirit they will make us suffer til the end.” (sic)
Another fan guessed: “Wait don’t tell me. they’re going to plan a beautiful wedding but something goes wrong with the venue and they have a smaller wedding somewhere more meaningful? ? ? or they decide to elope just the two of them? ! ? ! ?” (sic)
Others posted some outlandish theories, with one writing: “This is when we discover that Mel’s 1st husband is still alive.”
