Sofia Pernas returns to Tracker as Bille Matalon. Billie first appeared in Season 1 as Colter Shaw’s rival when the pair worked on a related case together. Despite being at odds for most of the episode, they ended things amicably as they each moved on to other cases. In Tracker Season 2, Episode 3, “Bloodlines,” the duo reunited below when Billie sought Colter’s help in solving a case in the official storyline. The episode’s promo teases the missing person and the subsequent efforts to find him.

Justin Hartley works with his wife in Tracker Season 2, Episode 3. “Billie, what’s this all about?” Colter asks Billie as the promo video above begins. “The missing high school baseball player disappeared two days ago,” Billie says, as the promo reveals the circumstances behind the disappearance. Wolf Pack’s Tyler Lawerence Gray plays the baseball star who disappears during practice. The duo begins their investigation, taking them to dangerous places and putting them in dangerous situations. “I’ll do everything I can,” Colter tells the player’s parents.
The highlight of the episode is Justin Hartley’s wife Pernas sharing the screen with her husband again. It’s revealed that they had a past relationship, which partly explains the actors’ instant chemistry. “I like the story of how they had a relationship in the past and she may have cheated on him a little bit. That’s how he feels anyway. They haven’t resolved that yet, and he’s forced into this awkward situation of being with someone he probably doesn’t want to be with right now, not because he doesn’t like her, but because it’s painful,” Hartley told Collider’s Christina Radish. Hartley elaborated on why Colter acts the way he does around her by revealing a little about his nature, saying, “Colter has emotions. He’s just a really soft person. We have a great story, she’s a great actress, and we had some fun with it. There’s pain there, there’s history there, and it’s a proud thing, trying to make sure she doesn’t know how hurt he is. It’s a really great look at an old relationship, and I’m glad people like it, people will like it. It’s a very different character than she really is in real life. And I’m not a fan of rewards.
