Tracker’s Upcoming Episode Features a Fun Guest Star Who’s Actually a Perfect Fit
CBS’s Tracker is gaining momentum before its first season even ends — and it looks like the upcoming episode will feature a new character played by another TV star.
The trailer for the episode, which will drop on April 28, was teased by the show’s lead actor Justin Hartley on his social media.
Given the guest star’s incredibly popular past roles, he could be the perfect fit for the character he’s about to play.
CBS’s Tracker has been a huge hit even before it’s finished its first season — and its second season has already begun while Tracker still has two more episodes to air.
With the show’s growing popularity, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some familiar faces in recurring roles, and the series itself is already there — with a well-known actor whose role actually makes sense.
Jensen Ackles Joins Tracker The big secret was revealed by Tracker star Justin Hartley, who took to social media to post a video proving that none other than Jensen Ackles will be appearing on the show.
The Supernatural alum will play Colter Shaw’s brother in the upcoming episode, which is set to drop on April 28. The penultimate episode of Tracker will mark Ackles’ return to a major television show after his long-running role as Dean Winchester on the action-horror series Supernatural — and the actor is actually a perfect match for Hartley’s Colter.
Is Ackles’ role in Tracker a homage to Supernatural in some way?
With his overwhelming determination and serious approach to life haunting him with his troubled past, it would be a relief to see Colter interact with someone he’s known long enough to calm him down a bit, especially if Ackles brings some of his iconic Dean Winchester traits to the mix.
First airing in 2005, Supernatural originally followed two brothers, played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, whose lives revolved around chasing demons, ghosts, and other strange creatures.
Based on a classic rule, the show had a significant split between the two leads, with one of them being hyper-aware of everything that was going on and the other joking around to ease the general tension.
Knowing how good Ackles is at bringing a goofy older brother to life on screen, there’s a good chance he’s about to do the same thing again—and we’ll definitely be here to watch.
