‘Tracker’ Season 2 Trailer: Jensen Ackles Returns, Colter in Danger, and His Romance

“I just want to help in any way I can,” Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) says in the Tracker Season 2 trailer.

Colter travels the country in search of a reward, but he only accepts money if he’s successful in finding a missing person, as he explains to his clients in the video above, which offers a look at some of the jobs he’ll be taking on this season. The first job, which airs Sunday, Oct. 13, features the strange disappearance of a missing family whose car is found abandoned on the side of a road in the Arkansas woods. Later, Colter makes a shocking discovery about his mother’s past that leads him into the world of organized crime.

At one point, his business manager Velma Bruin (Abby McEnany) warns him not to do anything stupid, and tells him that what he’s doing is valuable. Oh, and his love life is about to get complicated this season, with the return of bounty hunter Billie Matalon (Sofia Pernas) and whatever date he might have with lawyer Reenie Green (Fiona Rene). In fact, Reenie notes at one point that she hasn’t asked him about Billie. “Can we just focus on work?” he asks.

Jensen Ackles also returns as Colter’s brother, Russell, in the second episode. “Colter has a few questions for him about the Dory [their sister, played by Melissa Roxburgh] situation and the box that she has and does Russell know where it is? Russell is also pretty heroic in Episode 2 and they get involved in this really black ops, which is weird,” Hartley told us as part of the Fall Preview of Season 2. “These government officials start asking about our dad out of the blue, and you’re like, ‘Oh, what’s all this about?’ So in each episode, maybe dad becomes a little more vindicated, or maybe just completely insane,” Hartley continued. “We don’t know. We’re going to dig a little deeper into that.”
