“Tracker Season 2 Spoilers: Showrunner Reveals Shocking Character Exit and What It Means for the Future”

As fans prepare for Tracker’s explosive Season 2, which is set to premiere Sunday, October 13 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, the showrunner recently sat down for an interview and talked about a major character leaving the new season.

More details on this story below.

Tracker Season 2 Spoilers: Why is Teddi Bruin Leaving?

Teddi Bruin, played by actor Robin Weigert, was a series regular in Season 1 but will not be returning for Season 2. While the reason behind this remains unknown, Tracker showrunner Elwood Reid recently gave some insight into why Teddi was written off.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reid noted that Teddi’s split from Velma Bruin (Abby McEnany) will see the estranged wife struggle and work through her emotions throughout Tracker Season 2. As fans know, the two were Colter Shaw’s (Justin Hartley) handlers who sent him on missions.

Teddi and Velma no longer being together will pave the way for a new storyline on Tracker as Velma develops a deeper relationship with Reenie Green (Fiona Rene) and potentially sparks a romance with her. This was hinted at in the recent Tracker Season 2 trailer, so fans will have to wait and see what happens.
Tracker Season 2 Spoilers: Will There Be More Cast Changes?
While the bad news is that Teddi is gone, the good news is that Tracker will have three major guest stars returning for the next season. Including Jensen Ackles, as he returns to play Colter’s brother, Russell Shaw; Melissa Roxburgh will return as Colter’s sister, Dory Shaw; as well as Jennifer Morrison, who played Colter’s childhood girlfriend, Lizzy Hawkin in Season 1. Additionally, Sofia Pernas, Justin Hartley’s real-life wife, will also reprise her role as Billie Matalon on the show, in Season 2. What do you think about the show losing Teddi Bruin?
