Tracker Season 2 Parody: Justin Hartley ‘Helps’ Stephen Colbert
We know that CBS has all the incentive in the world to promote Tracker season 2, and of course there will be late-night spots. After all, broadcast networks have a long tradition of using their talk shows to promote some of their properties — it’s a smart business decision, after all!

Here’s what we often don’t understand: Why don’t producers try to make these shows as memorable as possible in many cases? Well, let’s just say that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tried to deliver the goods here, and that was thanks to the partnership with Justin Hartley.

If you follow the link here, you can see a parody of a popular TV series where Colbert realizes he’s missing his favorite mug. From there, he brings in “Tracker” to help out. We love that this parody basically makes it clear that Stephen knows very little about Hartley’s show, and it soon becomes as much a parody of CSI: Miami as anything else. Justin is incredibly self-deprecating throughout this entire episode, and we honestly think Colbert himself had a field day with this one. It almost reminds us of some of his comedic bits on The Colbert Report, where he had a blast acting like he’s completely oblivious to things.

The second season premieres on Sunday, October 13, and strangely enough, we’re more excited to watch it now than ever before—although we’re pretty sure Colter Shaw won’t be wearing sunglasses and saying some sassy lines at the end of each episode.
