“Tracker” Season 2: First Look at the Cast After Major Star Departure

Colter Shaw is set to return for another exciting season this fall as Tracker gears up for its highly anticipated Season 2 premiere on CBS. While the hit show doesn’t officially air until Sunday, October 13, CBS has built excitement by releasing a teaser photo from the upcoming premiere episode, titled “Out of the Past.”

These newly released images not only feature Justin Hartley in his mysterious role as Colter Shaw, but also introduce returning members of his cast. However, there is one notable absence — Robin Weigert, who played Teddi Bruin, a main character from the first season. It was announced over the summer that Weigert would not be returning for the new season, and these photos reflect the updated cast without one of the original main stars.

Out of the Past

Surprisingly, Teddi’s wife Velma – played by Abby McEnany – is still a regular cast member in Season 2, suggesting the show will likely address Teddi’s absence in the premiere. Fans can expect an explanation as to why Teddi is no longer a part of the storyline.

Along with these first photos, CBS has also revealed the official synopsis for “Out of the Past.” The episode promises to delve deeper into Colter’s life, as he investigates the mysterious disappearance of a family whose car was abandoned in the remote backwoods of Arkansas. During the course of this investigation, Colter uncovers a shocking revelation about his mother’s past, which pushes him into the dangerous world of organized crime. Meanwhile, Reenie, another series regular, opens a new law firm and seeks Velma’s help to get things moving again.

With the promise of new plot twists, deeper storytelling, and the return of beloved characters—minus one—Season 2 of Tracker is shaping up to be a gripping and intense continuation of Colter Shaw’s journey. Don’t miss the premiere on October 13!
