‘Tracker’ Season 2 Episode 6 Sneak Peek Sends Colter Hunting a Serial Killer
Tracker Season 2 is continuing, and after going on a witch hunt last Sunday that ended with an arrow to the stomach, Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) is back to solve another dangerous case in Tracker Season 2 Episode 6, “Trust Fall.” According to the episode’s official synopsis, “While searching for missing campers, Colter meets a retired cop who believes a serial killer is on the loose.” CBS has released a new teaser for the episode, which will air on November 17, and finds Colter back in the woods and right in the middle of danger again.
The trailer begins with Colter, dressed for a hike, interrogating someone in the woods. “I’m looking for three hikers who went missing last night,” he says. The clip cuts to another scene, where Colter finds an injured person in the woods and offers to help. The next time we see the world-famous bounty hunter, he’s sitting down to dinner with his friend, Reenie (Fiona Rene). “Nothing good comes without risk,” he says. “I’ll drink to that,” she replies. What follows is the risk Colter inadvertently alluded to, as the bounty hunter is shot and chased through the woods as he tries to solve his latest case.
In this week’s episode of Tracker, viewers were left with a dearth of the working partnership and playful banter between Colter and Reenie that we enjoyed in “Noble Rot.” While the pair have undeniable chemistry and attraction, there’s an argument to be made that they’d be better off as just friends. However, in Reenie’s mind, no matter how the romantic pendulum swings for Colter and Reenie, her character will always be mindful and protective of the trust Colter has placed in her, saying, “I think Reenie has a stance, especially with Colter’s vulnerabilities. She knows he has some insecurities. She never pushes those buttons because that would destroy their trust. I think one thing that they have in their trusting relationship is the fact that she doesn’t pry or poke or push him to share when he’s ready to share. And I think some of the best relationships are that way. I don’t have to dig. So in terms of those cases, it’s mostly let me know here, but I’m not going to push.” The backstories of the characters in the Tracker universe are starting to develop quite nicely. “Noble Rot” sidestepped Colter and Reenie’s history together, and this Sunday’s episode, “Preternatural” did the same with Velma (Abby McEnany). Maybe we’ll get something similar for Bobby (Eric Graise) next week?
