Tracker is returning this fall for Season 2. There have been a lot of questions about who might be returning alongside Justin Hartley. However, those questions have involved the actors who played his brother and sister and guest stars. Now, it’s been revealed that one of the main cast members is someone fans should have been worried about losing.
Here’s which main cast members are leaving Tracker Season 2 and what we know about the departures.
Tracker is losing one of its stars in Season 2 Tracker is returning for a second season, with Justin Hartley still in the lead. However, one of its main cast members will not be returning. According to reports, Robin Weigert will not be returning as a main cast member in Season 2 (via TV Line). The news doesn’t say whether she’ll be in a recurring or guest role.
Robin Weigert played a supporting role in Season 1 as Teddi Bruin, one of Colter Shaw’s managers. Additionally, Abby McEnany, who played Teddi’s wife (and Colter Shaw’s manager) Velma, will return. While there’s no confirmation of what’s going on with Teddi, showrunner Elwood Reid said Velma will be taking on “a very interesting role with something that was hinted at with the character of Reenie in the last few episodes” of Season 1.
Teddi and Velma helped Colter track down cases each week in the first season. Other cast members include Eric Graise as Bobby, a computer genius, and Fiona Rene as Reenie, a lawyer.
While there’s no word on what’s going on with Teddi, hints suggest that something big is going to happen with her or her relationship with Abby. It probably wouldn’t be surprising to see Teddi disappear, and Colter has to search for her like he did with the others to help Velma.
Tracker will see the return of Colter’s brother and sister. Tracker follows the novel by Jeffrey Deaver (The Never Game) about Colter Shaw, “a lone survivor roams the country as a bounty hunter, using his expert tracking skills to help citizens and law enforcement solve mysteries.” The show also stars Colter’s estranged brother Russell and sister Dory. The actors in those roles, Jensen Ackles and Melissa Roxburgh, will return for small guest roles. Both actors have new TV shows coming out, which limits their time on Tracker.
Tracker premieres on CBS this fall on Sunday, October 13, at 8/7c. This is the CBS premiere week and includes the season premiere of NCIS and the series premiere of NCIS: Origins.
