‘Tracker’ Revisits a Troubling Mystery from Colter’s Past in Season 2 Sneak Peek
Colter’s next job puts him in the middle of another mystery. In Tracker Season 2, Episode 6, “Trust Fall,” he’s hired to find missing campers, but ends up teaming up with someone who thinks a serial killer has taken the people he’s looking for. The synopsis below for the November 17 episode teases a case that puts Colter squarely on the line with a retired cop. CBS has released a sneak peek of the scene, in which Colter gets another job from Velma, but as the case progresses, he finds himself in the middle of a mystery from long ago that seems to resurface.
“While searching for missing campers, Colter meets a retired cop who believes a serial killer is on the loose.”
The video below previews the episode as Colter gets another case from Velma. This new case takes him to Washington State from Northern Oregon, where a client specifically asked him after an introduction. The reward is $250,000 to find four people missing while camping. Velma and Colter initially think they are lost, but he takes the case anyway. Being lost is the best anyone could hope for, as any alternative would put them in much more serious danger. Colter begins searching and finds one of the campers injured in a fall. He claims to have heard some gunshots, which immediately dispels the best case scenario.
In another scene, Colter is found with a retired cop who has joined him in the search. Their conversation reveals that he has been working on the case for a while but has never been successful in bringing the perpetrator to justice. He never got over the case after all these years. Colter also shared something he never let go of. He talked about the Gina Pickett case that was revealed in the season premiere.
In Tracker Season 2, Episode 1, Colter comes face to face with a man named Frank, who he has long suspected of being involved in Gina’s disappearance, though he has never been able to prove anything. Colter is related to Gina’s sister and has promised her that he will never stop looking for Gina. In the next episode, Brent Sexton guest stars as Keaton, a retired cop whom Colter meets. The mention of Gina’s case opens up a mystery that will last all season. Season 2 has yet to reveal the plot of the season, and Colter’s search for Gina seems perfect.
