Tracker Cast Leaves Ahead of Season 2 (Who’s Leaving the CBS Series?)
Fans of CBS’s Tracker will see a big change when the show returns this fall. One cast member is leaving the series, leaving questions about what will happen to the characters she’s associated with in Season 2. Robin Weigert plays Teddi Bruin, one of two handlers who help Colter (Justin Hartley) solve the cases he’ll help with in each episode. On the show, she plays the wife of Vera Bruin, played by Abby McEnany, who will still be a part of the series.
How will things change without Robin Weigert on Tracker for Season 2?
It’s not yet known how she’ll be written or if she’ll be on screen when Vera joins the cast. It’s possible she’ll still help solve cases, but she’ll be in a supporting role while Vera has a different role when it comes to the case of the week.
Either way, it would create a different dynamic since Colter previously had two handlers guiding him instead of one. Even if they both still seem to be helping in different ways, we’ll only see Vera’s investigative side.
TV Insider claims that McEnany had an idea of what was going to happen with Vera thanks to the first two scripts, and she was pleasantly surprised by what was coming.
Additionally, Vera will now also be interacting with other characters like Reenie (Fiona Rene). This means we could see more of her in scenes with Colter and Eric Graise’s Bobby. As for Reenie, it seems likely that based on some of the things that were hinted at about Reenie at the end of Season 1, it will somehow lead to Vera taking on some role in her interactions with her.
Despite the unexpected departures from the cast, there seems to be a lot of excitement surrounding Season 2, especially with the addition of Jensen Ackles as Colter’s estranged brother, Russell.
