“‘Tracker’ Adds Floriana Lima as Justin Hartley’s Love Interest While Real-Life Wife Sofia Pernas Returns”

Justin Hartley’s Colter will kiss someone new in season 2 of Tracker — but it won’t be his wife, Sofia Pernas.

According to TVLine, Floriana Lima has been cast as someone from Colter’s past named Camille. Camille is described as “haunting and compelling” in addition to being Colter’s “on and off” lover for at least the past 10 years.

“Camille’s sister went missing 10 years ago and her case was never solved — which causes some trauma for both Camille and Colter on each anniversary of her disappearance, but also leads them to reconnect, at least for one evening,” according to the character description shared on the site.

Lima’s character was briefly seen kissing Colter in the official season 2 trailer. The trailer also confirms that Hartley’s wife will reprise her role as Billie, aka another woman who has a romantic past with Colter.

“I just thought it would be a really cool idea,” Hartley, 47, explained to Deadline in May. “I think in the second episode, there’s a big prize for a car. There’s a line where one of the women says, ‘Word on the street is Billie’s working on the case.’ And then Coulter rolls his eyes. If you’re really paying attention, you’re like, ‘Oh, he’s got a rival, this Billie guy.’” Hartley, who is also an executive producer on the procedural, laid the groundwork for Pernas’ character before she even showed up. “My idea was to tease that and intentionally name the character Billie, and then reveal that Billie is, of course, Sofia. We didn’t tease that as much as I wanted to, just because we were so pressed for time. But that was the intention,” he continued. “Then when she came along, honestly, I’m not sure how much of the character aspect that she brought was actually written.”

“She’s amazing. I mean, if I had the choice, I would spend every minute with her,” he told Us Weekly in July. “What’s really great is when you meet someone who means so much to you, who you’re so proud to be around and proud of, and a fan of, and to see her work, because she’s such a talented actress. She elevates the scenes, and that really makes my job easier. But yeah, it’s been great working with her.”

Tracker returns to CBS on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes will stream the following day on Paramount+.
