Torrey DeVitto Shares Sweet Moment as Fiancé Reads Scary Stories to Their Unborn Baby

Torrey DeVitto is already raising a bookworm.

The Chicago Med actress, 39, is expecting her first baby with her fiancé Jared LaPine. In an Instagram post from Thursday, July 18, DeVitto showed off LaPine reading a book to their soon-to-be daughter.

In the photo, DeVitto’s legs were laid out on the couple’s coffee table, while her fiancé turns a page of ’90s favorite book, “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.”

“From Ireland to baby showers and everything in between, including Jared reading ‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’ to our baby girl. 🤍🤍🤍,” the actress caption her post.

The carousel also featured a mirror selfie of DeVitto with her mom, as she stood to the side highlighting her baby bump. In another picture, the Pretty Little Liars alum laughs with friends at her baby shower while they reach for her belly.

DeVitto first announced the happy news on Instagram on Sunday, May 19, showing off her baby bump and sharing in the caption, “Baby girl arriving this November.”

Some of Devitto’s Chicago Med costars sent their well-wishes in the comments, with Mekia Cox writing, “Oh my GYAH!!!! 😍😍😍,” and Casey Tutton gushing, “Torrey!! Ahh congratulations!”

Pretty Little Liars showrunner I. Marlene King also chimed in, writing, “Congratulations!! ❤️❤️.”

In the photo, the actress gazes into her partner’s eyes while wearing a white dress and posing with her hand resting on her stomach.

LaPine also shared the news in a separate post on his own Instagram, which included a photo of a sonogram image. “Welp, here’s to hoping she gets her mother’s genes,” the director wrote, before teasing the baby’s expected arrival in November.
