Tommy Prepares to Leave 126 in ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Season 5 Sneak Peek
When it was revealed that Henry Ian Cusick would be appearing on 9-1-1: Lone Star as TK’s stepfather, Enzo, there was reason to be excited. However, given the developments in Tommy’s life in the previous episode, “Naked Truth,” 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5, Episode 7, “Kiddos,” will be heartbreaking. The synopsis below for the November 11 episode teases a couple of storylines with mixed emotions for Tommy and Wyatt. Meanwhile, TK gets a surprise visit from his “impossibly handsome, cosmopolitan, educated, wealthy, and suave” stepfather, whose arrival leaves Owen deeply upset. The teaser previews two sad events as Tommy tries to get over his cancer diagnosis while Wyatt receives a disturbing phone call.
“TK gets a big surprise on her 30th birthday when her stepfather Enzo (guest star Henry Ian Cusick) arrives in Austin with TK’s half-brother Jonah; Owen is furious with Enzo; Tommy is determined to get over her latest crisis; Wyatt tries to talk a suicidal caller out of it, and 126 has to perform dangerous surgery in the field after a man is hit by a tree.”
“I have breast cancer; I’m going to have to leave 126,” Tommy announces to Captain Strand as the promo video above begins. Having battled cancer before, no one understands Tommy better than Owen. Meanwhile, Wyatt gets a call from someone who needs to close the road due to an impending emergency. Wyatt realizes that the person on the other end of the line is considering suicide. He directs first responders to her location, but since he’s the first responder, Wyatt tries to handle the situation. However, its fragile nature threatens to render his efforts futile.
As 126 deals with these crises, TK’s thirtieth birthday brings him a surprise when Enzo and Jonah visit. However, this visit may have another purpose, as it is teased that it “could change his [TK’s] and Carlos’ lives forever.” Enzo’s visit also forces Owen to confront his behavior after 9/11 and how someone else had to raise TK when his marriage ended.
Guest stars for the episode include Ian Cusick as Enzo, Theodore and Vincent Simard as Jonah, Eugene Byrd as Will, Serenity Grace Russell as Rory, Hina Khan as Isla, Christine Weatherup as Dr. Dawn Collins, and Iris Liu as Sofia.
