Tom Cruise Makes Surprise Appearance On ‘NCIS: Origins’ Set At Paramount Lot md01

Tom Cruise made a surprise visit to the set of NCIS: Origins on the Paramount Studios lot.

It’s unclear what the actor was doing at the lot, but Cruise has film business at the studio, like Top Gun 3, which continues to be in development.

NCIS writer David J. North shared a post on Cruise’s visit, noting that Daly’s bar on the show was inspired by the bar in Top Gun.

“As we kick off a new season of Origins, it was awesome to have @tomcruise stop by yesterday to hang out and show some much support to our show and the entire @ncisverse,” North shared on Instagram.

He continued, “@ginalucita and I took inspo from the bar in Top Gun when we dreamt up our bar, Daly’s. So we were stoked he approved lol. Thanks for all the advice and the love, Tom.”

Austin Stowell, who plays Leroy Jethroy Gibbs on the CBS drama, also posted on Instagram Stories a photo of himself and Cruise on the set of the show.

“Gibbs & Hunt, NCIS: Impossible,” Stowell captioned the post in a nod to Cruise’s Ethan Hunt character in the Mission: Impossible film series.

Cruise has had major business at Paramount with franchises like Top Gun and Mission: Impossible. Cruise saw the biggest-grossing film of his career with 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick, which made $1.49 billion worldwide and was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning made $567.5M worldwide, the sixth highest-grossing movie of his career.
