Tim Allen Completes the Old Testament – His Heartfelt Reaction Will Surprise You!

Tim Allen, who became a household name after his role as Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor in Home Improvement is proud of his latest accomplishment.

He recently took to X to share that he has finished reading a significant portion of the Bible.

“After nearly a year, I have finished reading the entire Old Testament and the experience of re-reading, dedicated focus and no drifting has made this a humbling and overwhelming experience,” said Allen in a post on Instagram. “What a treasure.”

This is not the first time that Allen has spoken outwardly about his faith. Allen said in an interview on ABC in 2011 that he started questioning the existence of God after his father was fatally struck by a drunk driver when he was just 11 years old.

He eventually was able to come around when he began to see God as “the builder.”

In August 2024, Allen announced that he had decided to take a deep dive into the Bible.

“Never took the time in all my years to ever read and really read the Bible,” said Allen. “Almost through the Jerusalem Bible Old Testament and almost done with the Prophets. Next up is the New Testament. So far amazing and not at all what I was expecting.”

Harvest Christian Fellowship’s Greg Laurie encouraged Allen to keep reading.

“That’s fantastic, Tim! The Bible is God’s very word to each of us,” said Laurie “The message of the Bible is really how we can come into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.”

In October 2024, the popular television star shared a midway update.

“Continuing my reading of the complete Bible. Finished a rather intense Ezekiel. Now on to Daniel. The challenge in reading this book is how I translate words that the Eternal expresses to the temporary. I need a Snickers.”

Allen’s latest acting role is Matt on Shifting Gears, a show about a widower who runs an auto shop and reluctantly takes in his estranged daughter and her two children.
