This Golden Bachelor favorite could be headed to Dancing With the Stars after spoiler
A Golden Bachelor favorite could be hinting they’ll be on Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars.
Dancing With the Stars won’t be heading back to ABC until the Fall, but there’s been some heavy rumors suggesting a Golden Bachelor favorite could be headed to the show when it debuts its 33rd season.
Fans have been trying to figure out if one of Gerry Turner’s rejected women would eventually be named as the Golden Bachelorette, but are still going to have to wait for more info when it comes to that announcement, as the series will air after Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette this summer.
There have been rumors that one of Gerry’s exes could be the new star, with there also being reports that ABC is eyeing someone else entirely.
However, while one of the women could be picked as the lead of her own season , that doesn’t mean she will be the only one fans will watch on ABC this Fall, as anyone who is cast on Dancing With the Stars will also feature on the network’s primetime programming.
While Gerry himself is also in the running, some think that Susan Noles could be dropping several hints she’ll be on the show as well.
Susan has taken to Instagram several times since finding fame on the Golden Bachelor and bein tapped to officiate Gerry’s wedding to Theresa Nist to showcase her dance moves and seemingly attempt to manifest her casting on the other ABC competition series.
The first time she did so was with a post in November, where she posed in a Hula dancer outfit and even shared her desire to be on the show in the caption.
“Thinking DWTS,” she wrote at the time.
Since then, posts haven’t been as blatant, but have still hinted that she wants to be on the show.
Not only did she share a recent video of herself dancing with her daughter, a second one saw the pair showcasing their moves to the Jason Derulo and Michael Buble song Spicy Margarita.
That post caught fan’s attention, with many quickly commenting that they wanted to see her on Season 33 of the show.
However, while there may be some trying to get her cast on the dancing show, there have also been rumors and hints she was in the running to star as the Golden Bachelorette, which would likely keep her from being able to participate in DWTS.
While Golden would be filmed in advance as opposed to Dancing, which is a live show, ABC likely wouldn’t want the star of a current season on the show because of the risk of the outcome being spoiled.
Susan isn’t the only potential contender for DWTS though, as Gerry had also addressed the possibility prior to the end of his season of Golden Bachelor, sharing he would be interested.
The two could face some major competition however, as Joey Graziadei or one of his contestants could also be chosen following the conclusion of his season–while Jenn’s season is set to air this summer, making her another possibility.
No matter who reps Bachelor nation on the show though, they will have potentially big shoes to fill.
If Joey or Gerry competes, they would be joining former Bachelor leads Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules, Nick Viall and Matt James, as well as competitor Joe Amabile–none of whom managed to win a Mirrorball trophy, with Soules and Amabile advancing the farthest in the competition during their seasons and placing 5th.
If Susan or Jenn joins the show, they would have much bigger shoes to fill.
While the original Bachelorette, Trista Sutter, placed dead last on the show’s first season, Charity Lawson, who just competed on Season 32, has the lowest ranking when it comes to placement on the show, taking fourth and still appearing in the finale.
Gabby Windey took second place on Season 31, while Hannah Brown and Kaitlyn Bristowe won the shows 28th and 29th seasons respectively.
Melissa Rycroft, who was famously rejected by Jason Mesnick after originally winning his season, went on Dancing With the Stars twice, placing as a runner-up in Season 8 before winning Season 15’s All-Stars competition.
