Congratulations are in order for Daytime Emmy Award-winning Young and Restless favorite Christel Khalil (Lily). The actress and her husband, Sam Restagno, are expecting a baby! This will be the third child for Khalil, who is already a mom to two sons.

While the notoriously private star did not formally announce the news of her pregnancy, rumors that she was expanding her family have been flying for months among Y&R fans, who noticed that the show appeared to be concealing her waistline with loose-fitting clothes and increasingly larger purses, as her character, Lily, is most decidedly not expecting.
But Khalil made no effort to hide her pronounced baby bump when she boogied to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” alongside a bevy of castmates including Eric Braeden (Victor), Bryton James (Devon) and Jason Thompson (Billy) in a video produced by Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) and Courtney Hope (Sally), which the actresses posted on Instagram. In the clip, an homage to the song’s celebrated music video, Khalil is shown in profile, in which her pregnancy is unmistakable, and is also seen caressing and holding up her belly as she dances.
Khalil waited until late in her last pregnancy to confirm that she was expecting baby No. 2. In June 2023, after attending the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco, she proudly showed off her prominent baby bump in a video montage about her overseas adventures that she posted to Instagram. In the montage, she cradled her belly while looking radiant in a figure-hugging sundress, but she did not acknowledge the pregnancy in the caption, writing simply, “That’s a wrap on Monaco! Thank you @festivaltvmonte_carlo for a great trip! Loved being there with this A team. Lots of laughs, blisters on our feet, and ate enough croissants to supply a bakery. See you next time ✌🏽.” Then, in November she posted a stunning photo of herself wearing a bra top and shorts, which she captioned, “Getting closer to meeting our baby boy…”
In March 2024, she revealed that she had welcomed that baby boy, Remy, in an Instagram video showing off his tranquil nursery. “So in love with the peaceful vibes for our baby Remy,” she wrote.
The actress got engaged to longtime love Restagno in 2022, which she also first confirmed on Instagram. “A couple months ago I said yes to the love of my life,” she posted as a caption to their engagement photos in April. “We hate taking pictures so thank you to our beautiful friends for finally making us!” The pair‘s first meeting took place in 2016 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, and they went public with their romance in 2018. In 2020, Khalil reflected on their romance, saying, “We kind of hit it off right away. He’s Canadian, so he was really nice [laughs]. Another big one for me was that he wasn’t in the same industry. I felt that was all I was around. It was just a different conversation with Sam, but there were a lot of other great things about him.” She elaborated of their romance, “We went out on our first date two weeks [after Coachella] and had so much fun together. About six months later, I knew he was the one.”
Khalil and Restagno tied the knot in Puglia, Italy in October 2024. Both their son and her firstborn son, Michael Caden, who turned 15 in April, were in attendance.
