There’s A Wedding Coming To ‘Virgin River’ In The New Trailer For Season Six
Mel and Jack are getting married! The couple’s long-awaited spring nuptials are the centerpiece of the brand-new trailer for season six of Virgin River.
The new season will premiere on Netflix on December 19, just in time to marathon before the holidays. There is romance aplenty for Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) as they approach their highly anticipated wedding, but the show isn’t turning into just a romcom.
According to Netflix, the new season will be chock full of “fresh twists and turns, escalating love triangles, delightful wedding drama.” Hopefully, it will also do some serious explaining after a few cliffhangers at the end of last season.
In addition to resolving that pesky cliffhanger, as we previously reported, season six will delve more into Mel’s origin story. The upcoming season will also dig into the past of Mel’s parents, Sarah and Everett. Check out the trailer for season six here:
As the characters are introduced to audiences in advance of a possible prequel series about their origin story, the show will take viewers back to the 1970s when Virgin River looked a little different, but was still a very magical place. If all goes according to plan, audiences will fall in love with Sarah and Everett’s star-crossed soulmate story and they will get their own spinoff, which will help keep Virgin River fans satisfied.
Before the spin-off though, there’s a whole season of Virgin River to enjoy.
