The View co-host slams Golden Bachelor’s Gerry and Theresa’s ‘complete crock’ romance

The View co-host Ana Navarro has dubbed Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s romance a ‘complete crock’ after their divorce announcement.

The View’s Ana Navarro is just as upset and annoyed as fans about Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s divorce announcement.

Only hours after Gerry revealed his divorce from Nist on Good Morning America, co-host Joy Behar introduced the topic during Friday’s Hot Topic discussion.

The show’s in-studio audience giggled at the development, before Navarro gloated, as she always had doubts about the show’s premise.

During her “I told you so” moment, Navarro also called Gerry and Theresa’s romance “a complete crock.”

“For like, six months, you tortured me every Friday and made me talk about this topic, which I can’t stand because I think it’s manufactured and a complete crock,” Navarro said. “So, today, I get to say, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so!”

Behar then said Turner and Nist will be alright, because “she has money” and “he has Viagra.”

Meanwhile, Sunny Hostin regreted falling “for this nonsense” in the first place, which is what a lot of fans are feeling right now too.

“I’m upset because I thought since they were older they knew better and they could find love, and they didn’t,” she said.

Many fans would agree, as they often hailed Golden Bachelor for being “authentic” and “wholesome.”

However, Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out: “You don’t watch it to watch people find lasting love, you do to see how the social experiment works. It’s filmed over six weeks, they’re dating other people. If you make it to the Honeymoon Suites, he’s probably slept with another person, or she, right before proposing to you.”

Navarro’s final summary of the Golden Bachelor developments: “The mistake was going on national TV to try to feign a relationship and love. I’ve had pimples that last longer than this marriage!”

In November, Navarro stopped a Hot Topics segment to beg producer Brian Teta to stop forcing her to engage with news from The Golden Bachelor on the air.

“I have one golden question. Brian, when is this show, The Golden Bachelor, over, so I no longer have to talk about it on Fridays?” she said, turning to Teta.

The camera then cut to the EP, who replied: “We have a few more weeks, but I think we’ll do a couple of extra shows, just for you.”

Gerry has officially filed for divorce from Theresa in his hometown Petersburg, Indiana.

The couple, who appeared on Good Morning America earlier on Friday to confirm their breakup, had been married for just over three months.

“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations,” Gerry told GMA.

“We’ve looked closely at our living situations and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s time for us to dissolve our marriage.”

Gerry cited the dedication to their families as a primary factor in their decision to part ways.

“The things that strike me the most in our conversations it’s been how dedicated both of us are to our families. So, we look at these situations and I think we just feel like it’s best for the happiness of each of us to live apart,” he explained.

“I still love this person, there’s no doubt in my mind. I root for her every day.”

Theresa acknowledged that they have a prenuptial agreement in place and plan on returning their wedding rings, which is a rule in Bachelor Nation.

“I think that’s the rule, I think I have to give this ring back. Sad to say,” she shared, with Gerry adding, “But, you know what, we don’t have to give back the memories.”

The couple’s divorce puts the future of the “Golden” Bachelor spin-offs in jeopardy.

Fans were also not happy about the annoucement, calling it a “waste of time.”

One person wrote: “F***ING RIDICULOUS!!! Stop wasting our time with these fake-a*s couples!”

Another added: “So they got free vacations around the world and 15 minutes of fame. Who still believes that show is real?”

A third said: “So, the #GoldenBachelor couple are getting a divorce? Whyyy are dating shows still even being made? Those relationships NEVER last.”
