Even though NCIS: Los Angeles ended with Season 14, the show’s rich universe is still alive — and ripe for revisiting. From old flames to loyal allies and mysterious figures who disappeared too soon, here are 10 minor characters we’d love to see pop up again in future NCIS storylines, whether in flashbacks, new spinoffs, or long-overdue cameos.
1. Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly)
Callen’s now-wife and former Russian agent, Anna had a tumultuous journey through the series. Though she appeared in more episodes later on, she always felt like a character who had more stories to tell — especially as part of an intelligence-focused spinoff or post-marriage life in a crossover.
2. Nate Getz (Peter Cambor)
The team’s original operational psychologist faded from the show after Season 1, though he popped in here and there in later seasons. His insight into the team’s psyche made him unique, and his mysterious operations later in the series deserve more explanation.
3. Sabatino (Erik Palladino)
This CIA operative danced between ally and antagonist so frequently that fans were never quite sure what side he was on. He’s the kind of wildcard who would thrive in a NCIS: International Ops spinoff or Sam Hanna-led thriller.
4. Astrid Fellows (Alicia Coppola)
A standout from earlier seasons, Astrid worked at the Office of Special Projects and had a fascinating tech-focused role. In a world where cyber warfare is at the forefront, Astrid could easily rejoin the NCIS universe in a tech-forward storyline.
5. Lance Hamilton (Bill Goldberg)
This muscle-for-hire DOJ agent brought big energy to his episodes — and he had great chemistry with Sam Hanna. In any future action-packed crossover, Lance deserves a role as the physical brute with a surprisingly strategic mind.
6. Joelle Taylor (Elizabeth Bogush)
From Callen’s girlfriend to rogue CIA operative, Joelle had one of the wildest arcs of any recurring character. There’s so much unexplored territory post-betrayal — and what she’s been up to since their complicated breakup is still a mystery.
7. Arkady Kolcheck (Vyto Ruginis)
One of the show’s most entertaining supporting characters, Anna’s father is a chaotic delight. Whether scheming over vodka or threatening spies in his bathrobe, Arkady deserves more screen time — and could be comedic gold in a Callen-and-Anna spinoff.
8. Sydney Jones (Ashley Rae Spillers)
Kensi’s younger sister only appeared briefly in Season 9, but her presence offered a window into Kensi’s past and family life. She could return in a future Densi-focused story, especially one centered around parenting or family secrets.
9. Talia Del Campo (Mercedes Mason)
A DEA agent with attitude, Talia’s flirty dynamic with Deeks and her no-nonsense style made her memorable. She’d be perfect as a recurring guest on another NCIS series or even in a joint task force spinoff.
10. Aiden Hanna (Tye White)
Sam’s son was last seen training to become a pilot at the U.S. Naval Academy. Now that Sam is working internationally, a grown-up Aiden — perhaps as a naval officer or intelligence asset — could be a compelling way to expand the Hanna family legacy.
