This year, actually, when I get home from this trip, I am going on a three-day stunt driving course. So I’m really excited. I want to do some crazy maneuvers on camera… I do get into it. I love it. I love it so much.

Lucy and Tim’s relationship has been the centerpiece of her storyline since she was his rookie in The Rookie season 1. She has always been tied to him in some form or another. Season 8 provides a rare opportunity for Lucy to expand herself beyond Tim and his influence and to begin to form her own path in the career she has worked so hard for. She is so much more than Tim’s rookie or Tim’s ex-girlfriend. This separation in season 8 gives her the breathing room to prove this to the rest of the LAPD.
