The Queen Charlotte Show Can Do Justice To 1 Underrated Bridgerton Character
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will show some beloved characters in their youth, and it needs to do justice to the underrated Violet Bridgerton.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will explore the courtship of Charlotte and George, but it also needs to do justice to one other underrated Bridgerton character. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is a prequel to the Netflix show Bridgerton, produced again by Shonda Rhimes. It will focus on Queen Charlotte as she is set to marry King George, despite her best efforts and their tumultuous journey to becoming husband and wife. In addition, the Queen Charlotte show will feature other known characters, such as Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton.
India Ria Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest lead Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story cast as Young King George and Young Queen Charlotte. The show will have appearances from their older selves, who already star in Bridgerton. Audiences will see the friendship of Queen Charlotte, Lady Danbury, and Violet Bridgerton blossom, all while the union of Charlotte and George unites two sides to form the kingdom seen in Bridgerton. Queen Charlotte and King George are also actual historical figures, but Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will fictionalize this for entertainment purposes and to fit the Bridgerton themes.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story Can Show Violet As Her Own Person
Aside from the leads, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story has a chance to focus on an underrated Bridgerton character, Violet Bridgerton. The matriarch of the Bridgerton family has featured heavily in Bridgerton, especially due to her antics with Lady Danbury, but all her storylines have revolved around her children. Violet has been crucial in supporting all her children, and their storylines may not have panned out without her support (and meddling), but it has meant Violet has been developed as her own person.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will have a chance to show Violet as her own person and her friendship with Queen Charlotte and Agatha Danbury as young women. Bridgerton has done a great job of showing this friendship already, so the Queen Charlotte show will be able to add context and show sides to the characters that have not been seen before. Violet has had many ups and downs, especially with her husband Edmund dying, but she is still very calm and refined. The Queen Charlotte show will hopefully show the more youthful and reckless side of Violet and show her as her own person.
Why Violet And Edmund’s Courtship Is Important In Bridgerton
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story also has the perfect opportunity to show Violet and Edmund Bridgerton’s courtship, which is a significant relationship to the Bridgerton world. Bridgerton has shown that they married for love, seemingly a perfect relationship, which has inspired their children, and meant they were all keen on marrying for love and not society. However, the author of Bridgerton, Julia Quinn, has a novella called “Violet in Bloom” as part of “The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After” collection, which tells the story of Violet’s life.
This novella, although not focused on her romance with Edmund, mentions how Violet originally loved Edmund. It was not the easy, picture-perfect courtship it was first made out to be in Bridgerton. Including parts of this courtship, or even Violet’s acknowledgment of it, would be an important story in the Bridgerton world as it would show even the most perfect relationships come with difficulties and that they are better for it. Although her children are individually starting to realize this, Violet and Edmund’s relationship will be an important and entertaining aspect of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story that will develop Violet’s character as well.
