Gordon Ramsay can cook nearly anything on Earth—but there’s one dish his wife refuses to let him serve at home, and the reason is as hilarious as it is personal.
The banned item? Truffle risotto.
“It’s not the taste,” said his wife Tana in a rare interview. “It’s the smell. It takes over the whole house, and he acts like he’s serving the Queen.”
Gordon, naturally, disagrees. “Truffle risotto is a masterpiece,” he once said on Instagram. But Tana reportedly calls it “the perfume of arrogance.”
Despite the ban, Gordon still makes it—but only in the garden on a portable stove.
One neighbor even reported smelling “something expensive and slightly obnoxious” floating over the hedge.
Their kids side with Mom. “We know it’s risotto night when Dad starts whispering to Alexa to order truffle oil in secret,” one of them joked during a TikTok Q&A.
At home, Ramsay may run the kitchen—but Tana rules the menu.
