The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner has been promoting his “Nomad Tour” in recent days, but his ex-wife turned her attention toward one of his rejected contestants instead of giving him any attention. Gerry became a fan-favorite in Bachelor Nation after being cast as the first senior citizen lead in the franchise via The Golden Bachelor season 1. He met and fell in love with Theresa. The couple got engaged and married in a very short stretch of time. Unfortunately, Gerry and Theresa announced their divorce only three months after getting married on live TV. Ever since then, Gerry’s reputation has tanked.
Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are no longer in each other’s lives as the former seeks to restore his reputation and the latter supports her fellow Golden Bachelor women.
Gerry has spent the past few days posting photos from his “Nomad Granddad Tour,” which is an annual vacation the Golden Bachelor star takes. He’s been creating a lot of attention in the comments section of his Instagram posts, but instead of giving him more attention, his ex-wife Theresa decided to turn around and praise one of his rejected contestants instead.
After Leslie admitted she had a great day and that “life is good,” Theresa replied, “You’re so pretty, your grandson is adorable and I love this song,” and added a double-heart emoji. Afterward, Leslie liked the comment. The video in Leslie’s Instagram post showed her walking her dog, playing tennis, dancing, swimming, working out and hanging out with her grandson. She added Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day” to the montage video.

In recent months, Gerry has been unable to regain his once-sterling reputation in Bachelor Nation. No matter how many photos he posted, the comments sections were filled with a ton of criticism, even if the photos he shared were innocent and were just showing him living life. When he started his “Nomad Tour,” he was asked if he was lonely since it appeared that he was going on vacation by himself. He admitted that even though he was alone, he wasn’t lonely. He seemed to be having fun and taking in the beautiful nature across the United States.
As Gerry’s reputation floundered, the Golden Bachelor women seemingly wanted nothing to do with him. While some of his rejected contestants spoke out in the initial days after his and Theresa’s divorce announcement, it appears that they’ve all now distanced themselves completely from him and are actively showing off their happy lives without him in it. They’ve all got something in common: aside from Joan Vassos and Marina Perea, who quit, they were all dumped by Gerry.
Gerry and Theresa recently appeared together on Celebrity Family Feud. While the episode was filmed pre-divorce, ABC deciding to air it now made for an awkward viewing experience considering it was mentioned they were married in the present tense. That pre-taped appearance aside, the two exes have stayed out of each other’s lives. Gerry is seemingly on his own in his grand attempt to restore his reputation. Meanwhile, the Golden Bachelor women are still supporting each other’s lives and accomplishments.
