The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner has spoken about his biggest regret from the iconic series.
The refreshing take on the iconic series The Bachelor and The Bachelorette has been following an older generation, with 72-year-old grandpa Gerry at the helm of the show. And viewers have been loving tuning in to see the handsome gentleman whittle the hopeful women vying for his love down to just three.
Ready to find love again after his wife sadly died in 2017, Gerry has whittled the women vying for his love down to just two. Sending Faith home, Gerry will now pick from Theresa and Leslie when the finale airs.
And now, speaking to Variety Magazine, Gerry has spoken of his regrets from the show. After saying “I love you” to all three of the women who made it to hometown week, Gerry has spoken of how he “failed” at committing to just one woman.
“It’s funny how in a moment you can get caught up with the concept of falling in love, and then the next day it’s like, no, I loved the moment,” he said. Elsewhere in the interview, Gerry said: “I’ve always tried to commit to myself to only try and say ‘I love you’ to one person for the rest of my life.
“I only wanted to be intimate with one person for the rest of my life. I failed at that,” he went on. He then touched on how he “regretted it [saying that he loved the women]” because he felt like he wasn’t true to himself.
“This is what I expected of myself, and I failed. When you say that to someone, it can become very destructive.” He then told the outlet that he felt “awful”, noting: “That’s the situation when you saw me walk out of the room because they kept asking about it. That’s still the moment that I most regret.”
This comes after we reported that the series is gearing up to take a break in a huge schedule shake-up that will likely leave fans of the hit series incredibly disappointed.
