The comments section was inundated with a ton of social media users wishing the Golden Bachelor star a happy birthday; his big day was on August 7. As of this writing, it doesn’t appear that any of the women who appeared on The Golden Bachelor left Gerry any well-wishes for his birthday.

Even though Gerry often posts positive and happy photos on Instagram, his critics never fail to show up to try and rain on his parade, so to speak. It doesn’t matter if he’s posting about the great time he had on his Nomad Tour or even acknowledging his birthday, he can’t escape the criticism. One of his granddaughters left a happy birthday message in the comments section, but instead of liking that post, Gerry decided to give attention to the negativity from his critics.
As a public figure, Gerry should understand that criticism comes with the territory. He shouldn’t let the backlash against his damaged reputation get to him. Even if he’s replying back in a joking manner, he’s still giving them the attention they desperately crave.
