The very first season of The Golden Bachelorette on ABC is debuting in just a few weeks, and the star, Joan Vassos, is opening up about her journey and the end to her season.
If you don’t know, the show debuts on September 18, and 24 men were recently revealed to be competing.
“You’re dating in front of the entire world. I worried I wouldn’t have a connection and there would be awkward moments. Eventually, you forget the cameras,” Joan shared with TV Insider about her initial hesitations.
She was also asked if she was going to be making the first moves of not.
Joan declared, “I was going to let the guy [make it], definitely. Public displays of affection — I had to get over the fact that those were uncomfortable for me. But you have to find out if there’s a spark. It took a few weeks to throw caution to the wind. Sorry, kids! I’m going to kiss some people.”
About her season and her ending, she said, “I had a lot of sleepless nights. I would replay conversations. I needed to make sure I was doing a good job analyzing if I could picture a life with each man. I feel like the ending was exactly how it’s supposed to be.”
