The Golden Bachelorette could be confirmed as fans spot casting call for spin-off
Fans are convinced the much-in-demand spin-off from The Golden Bachelor, The Golden Bachelorette, is already a go at ABC after spotting a new casting call.
The Golden Bachelorette appears to be in the works despite not getting an official greenlight from ABC.
A recent post on Bachelor Nation, the official website for the hit reality show franchise, has confirmed a casting call for the spin-off is now underway.
When visitors to the website click to apply for The Golden Bachelor, it now takes them to options to apply for the Golden Bachelorette or nominate someone else.
There doesn’t seem to be a minimum or maximum age requirement, although the show is requesting “seniors” to apply.
Furthermore, the questionnaire even provides a timeframe for when the series will be filmed.
According to the application form, the spin-off will be shooting “this summer”, and specifically cites June through August 2024.
This means the episodes could be airing as soon as September or October 2024, in line with The Golden Bachelor’s first season release this year.
Filming for Gerry Turner’s search for love began in August 2023 and aired just a month later, so fans shouldn’t have long to wait before a new senior star arrives on their screens.
When the casting call was spotted and posted on Reddit, one user said: “I knew they would make the show. I can’t wait to see the cast.”
Another said: “So that will be an October airing at the soonest. These are big productions that take a long time.”
While a third teased: “I’m going to nominate my ex. Good looking, tall, active, ER doctor.”
Again, producers still haven’t officially confirmed The Golden Bachelorette is in the works.
However, this is likely because they don’t want the announcement to overshadow Gerry’s upcoming live wedding to Theresa Nist on January 4.
Once the pair have tied the knot in the new year, viewers could expect to find out who’ll be the lucky senior lady fighting off the affections of 20 or more older bachelors soon afterward.
