ABC viewers will recall the moment the 72-year-old was forced to make a tough decision and choose between the two women during the finale.
Although Leslie admitted she felt blindsided by Gerry proposing to Theresa, many fans insist the personal trainer dodged a bullet.
During a Good Morning America interview on Friday, the now-estranged couple spoke on their decision to part ways, just three months after their televised wedding.
Gerry stated: “Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth, and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage.”
While many fans were disappointed by their split, others were relieved for Leslie who revealed she and Gerry had “patched things up” following their emotional break-up.
Many took to her recent Instagram post promoting her upcoming appearance on Celebrity Family Feud.
