CBS has officially locked in the future of the NCIS universe—and it’s bigger than ever. As part of its early renewals for the 2026–2027 broadcast season, the network confirmed that NCIS will return for Season 24, further cementing its status as one of television’s longest-running scripted dramas.
The flagship series isn’t coming back alone. Both active spin-offs have also secured renewals, with NCIS: Origins moving ahead to Season 3 and NCIS: Sydney earning a Season 4 order. The announcements were part of a broader CBS renewal wave that included hit shows like Tracker, Matlock, Elsbeth, Fire Country, Survivor, and The Amazing Race.
Currently led by Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, along with Rocky Carroll and Gary Cole, NCIS continues to draw strong audiences worldwide. The franchise is also approaching a major milestone, with the 1,000th episode set to air in April, proving that the NCIS legacy shows no signs of slowing down.
