The First Fifty Shades Darker Trailer Has Arrived
If your palm was twitchy this morning and you weren’t sure why, maybe it’s because the first trailer for Fifty Shades Darker has arrived in all its masquerade-themed glory. Christian and Ana are back after their breakup in Fifty Shades of Grey, but clearly the split did not stick, because the teaser shows them attending a ball together and getting hot and heavy in the shower.
Fifty Shades Darker will follow Christian’s attempts to win Ana back after his BDSM lifestyle put her off in the first movie. The sequel will also feature new characters like Elena (Kim Basinger), the woman who taught Christian everything he knows, and Dr. Flynn (Hugh Dancy), the guy who’s been trying to show Christian how to be a functional adult. Teen Wolf star (and new Superman!) Tyler Hoechlin will appear as Boyce Fox, an author at Ana’s publishing house who’s mentioned in the Fifty Shades books but does not participate in the action. Two guesses as to whether or not Christian is going to like this guy.
There’s also this poster, featuring the incredible tagline, “Slip into something a shade darker.” Will do, Mr. Grey!
Fifty Shades Darker premieres Feb. 10, 2017 — just in time for Valentine’s Day.
