“Virgin River” returned with the 5th season, and the characters were affected by tragic events. Part of the town was consumed by fire, and during the evacuation, Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) loses her child. Tragedy falls on her and Jack (Martin Henderson) like a bolt from the blue – why was such a storyline decided?
Virgin River season 5 – why did Mel lose her child?
Mel and her late husband lost their child, so when it turned out in season 4 that the heroine and Jack were expecting a child, many fans kept their fingers crossed for a happy resolution to the storyline and could not imagine any other option. Unfortunately – it turned out differently. Alexandra Breckenridge believes that this twist is sad, but at the same time necessary.
One of Mel’s biggest dreams is to start a family – but the heroine is terrified that the situation will repeat itself a third time. Will she and Jack (Martin Henderson) survive this difficult time?
Martin Henderson emphasized later in the statement that Jack also dreams of a family and he and Mel will certainly think together about what to do about it.
Will Mel and Jack try for a child after the tragedy that befell them? Or maybe they will decide to adopt? We will only get the answers to these questions.
