Jim Parsons is heading back to Broadway — and this time, he’s bringing Céline Dion, Titanic, and a hefty dose of comedy with him. The Big Bang Theory star has officially joined the upcoming Broadway run of the hit musical parody Titanique, alongside Deborah Cox and Frankie Grande.
The Olivier Award–winning show, which hilariously reimagines the 1997 blockbuster Titanic through the lens of Céline Dion’s greatest hits, will begin previews March 26 at the St. James Theatre. Its limited 16-week engagement officially opens April 12 and runs through July 12.
Parsons will take on the role of the formidable Ruth DeWitt Bukater, Rose’s sharp-tongued mother — a part originally played by Frances Fisher in the film. Deborah Cox steps aboard as the legendary Unsinkable Molly Brown, while Frankie Grande reprises his Off-Broadway role as Victor Garber. Co-creator Constantine Rousouli returns as Jack Dawson, reuniting key creative voices behind the cult-favorite production.
