Working for 12 seasons together, the cast had developed quite a relationship while working with each other. After the show was over, the cast was asked about their first impressions of each other.

In an old interview with EW, the cast of The Big Bang Theory sat to talk about how 12 seasons had passed and the show had ended. During their talks, Johnny Galecki (who plays Leonard Hofstadter) talked about his initial thoughts about Kaley Cuoco (Penny).
We all thought Kaley was the coolest person in the cast. As soon as we were done with rehearsals or the live audience, she was like taillights. We all assumed she had much better social plans than we did.
He further continued,
Maybe a year in, she started spending more time with us offstage and confessed she had nowhere to go. She was maybe going to ride her horses, probably.
Well, the line does seem like something that Penny would say to Leonard and Sheldon after months. However, Cuoco found her group with The Big Bang Theory as the cast started hanging out off-stage after the show.
From dinners to spending vacations together, the cast of The Big Bang Theory grew closer and closer together. Naturally, it was hard to say goodbye to these amazing characters after the show ended.
