The Big Bang Theory’s lead stars, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, reunite on-screen in a promotional video for a mobile game. From 2007 to 2019, Cuoco and Galecki played Penny and Leonard, respectively, on the hit sitcom that followed nerdy roommates Leonard and Sheldon, their next-door neighbor, Penny, and their social circle. For the length of 12 seasons, Penny and Leonard’s on-and-off romance was a central focus.
In the new advertisement for the game Royal Kingdom on Instagram, Cuoco and Galecki reunited on-screen. In the 60-second clip, Galecki suggests that they ditch board games for the new puzzle game on their phones. They then proceed to throw their board games, credit cards, internet router, and TV out of the window since the game is free, ad-free, and can be accessed without wifi. At the end of the clip, the two realize they may have overreacted. Check out the video below:

The New Game Commercial Is The Second Reunion Between Galecki And Cuoco
The game commercial marks Galecki’s first onscreen acting gig since he appeared as David Healy in The Conners season 2 following The Big Bang Theory’s finale. He previously lent his voice to the scripted podcast The Cinnamon Bear: A Holiday Adventure in 2021, and, like Cuoco, contributed to the book titled The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series. It delves into the behind-the-scenes relationships behind the hit sitcom.
After starring as Penny in The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco remained an active actor and headlined Max’s The Flight Attendant and Peacock’s Based on a True Story. Both Cuoco and Galecki have been vocal about their excitement towards working together on the commercial. Cuoco wrote in the comment section on the video shared on her Instagram account, sharing, “This was so fun to shoot! Back together with my buddy JG.” Galecki replied to her comment with “It truly was. XO.”

Galecki And Cuoco Are Overdue For A Big Bang Reunion
Leonard and Penny started as friends on The Big Bang Theory and went through a series of ups and downs before finally settling down in later seasons. In the series’ finale, it was revealed that the pair were expecting a baby together. However, in the absence of a direct sequel, those who wondered where Leonard and Penny were in the years that followed didn’t get a chance to see the pair together again.
While he is without his glasses in the video, it’s nice to see Galecki and Cuoco on the same screen, as if they were Leonard and Penny again. Their on-screen chemistry is still there even six years later, and the only missing thing (aside from Leonard’s glasses) is more physical interaction. It’s unclear whether they are playing only friends or a couple in the commercial, but it doesn’t matter that much, given it’s already rare enough to see the core stars from The Big Bang Theory back together on screen again.
