The Bachelor’s Clayton Echard shows proof of paternity test as he breaks silence on claims
The Bachelor’s Clayton Echard has broken his silence after a woman claimed he is the father of her unborn twins in a paternity lawsuit.
Clayton Echard took to social media to set the record straight in the midst of a paternity lawsuit filed in August by an unidentified woman.
The Bachelor star shared a screenshot of a receipt for a paternity test to his Instagram Story on Thursday, as well as claiming the woman had accused others of “nearly identical accusations” in separate court cases.
Along with the photo of the email receipt, which showed he had been charged $725 for an appointment, Echard added: “This is the timeline. The truth will always set you free.”
In an email to the clinic, Echard wrote: “I will take my portion of the test on the 27th of September.
“Results will then take about a week to get back. I believe we’re all on the same page now.”
n a follow-up post, Echard claimed: “Since posting, I’ve been notified (and have confirmed) that there are other individuals out there with nearly identical accusations being made against them by the exact same person.
“Some of the court cases are still publicly accessible and active.”
The unnamed woman filed a lawsuit on August 1 in an Arizona family court demanding the TV star take a paternity test that also filed to put a parenting plan in place if, in fact, Echard is the father.
She is expected to give birth in early-to-mid February 2024.
Clayton, who split from his ex-girlfriend Susie Evans in September last year, previously told The US Sun in a statement she had not engaged in sexual intercourse with his accuser.
He said: “My response is in the court documents. I’m not giving it the time of day because it’s baseless. We did not have sexual intercourse.”
The unnamed woman claimed that she has not seen Echard since June when he “purchased a pregnancy test and asked” her “to urinate in front of him to confirm the pregnancy.”
She then claimed she “complied and the pregnancy test was positive,” according to the Motion for Contempt.
After allegedly messaging her that he no longer saw her as a “liar anymore,” she claims Echard “continuously blocked” her number.
