The famous “After” saga continues with two new films, a prequel and a sequel. If you’ve watched After 1 and 2, you must be excited for 3.
After is a saga that will upset more than one person. A moving story between two teenagers. They are Tessa, a young model girl with a clear future and Hardin, the very prototype of the bad boy. They both fall in love and the rest remains to be seen (to avoid spoilers).
This saga, initially conceived as a fanfiction, is now in the mouths of all teenagers. However, After is the first volume of the After literary saga written by Anna Todd and published in 2014 in the United States and in 2015 in France. She wrote this romance on her smartphone via the Internet community network Wattpad, where she created a buzz. In 2015, his novel was a bestseller worldwide.
Anna even wrote a Before, on which screenwriter and director Castille Landon will base herself in order to make the prequel. She explains in an interview with Teen Vogue that the prequel will explore in depth the origins, past and history of Hardin’s character even before his meeting with Tessa.
As for the continuation of the saga, After 3, well it would be a direct sequel to the film. The film will mainly focus on the two protagonists (SPOILER: the children of Tessa and Hardin) and their cousin Addy in their journey towards adulthood, decisive years during which they will try not to reproduce the same mistakes as their parents.
Filming of the prequel and the sequel to the film will take place in the fall and the release date is scheduled for late 2022 or sometime in 2023. However, you should know that the characters Tessa and Hardin will not be played by Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Joséphine Langford in the After sequel but they will still make appearances in the film.
