It seems Oscar is just a never-ending storyline on The Rookie. The team couldn’t get Oscar in custody, meaning the criminal’s appearance in season 8 will definitely happen.
Since Oscar’s return is a must, it will likely explore the fallout from his getaway, particularly as it ties into Monica Stevens and the immunity deal. Oscar will also be a major headache for the characters next season, especially Nolan, who always seems to get in the middle of Oscar’s antics even if he doesn’t want to.
