As Chief Boden’s prodigies, the team will need them to be focused on the job as they go through this difficult transition. Kidd getting pregnant would eventually force her to do a desk job, which would likely not sit well with her.
Ultimately, starting a family given their circumstances is not ideal. As exciting as the idea is, especially with Matt and Sylvie Casey raising their blended family in Portland, Oregon, the timing just isn’t right yet for Kidd and Severide.
