Station 19 Bombshell: Danielle Savre Reveals Shocking Twists for Maya and Jack!

“There’s all these things that Maya is going to have to process.”

Station 19‘s latest US episode saw Maya Bishop take centre stage, as she and Jack Gibson had to deal with a contagious disease infecting people on a subway train.

The firefighters thankfully saved the day, but there was more one twist in store as the colleagues ended up in the shower together at the end of the episode, with Jack’s ex Andy Herrera having no idea.

Danielle Savre plays Maya, and speaking to Digital Spy, she said that fans of the show will see the fallout in the next episodes.

“You’re going to see that unfold!” she said, when asked if Andy will find out. “That’s going to be very hard. This is something that – we go back to what Maya said in season 1: don’t double-dip. And then, she was so upset with Andy in season 1 for hooking up with someone that she worked with. She’s also usually more into women than men, so there’s all these things that Maya is going to have to process.

“On top of that, she’s just hooked up with her best friend’s ex-boyfriend/fiancé. There’s so many things that are kind of going against what Maya stands for. There’s going to be a lot of guilt and shame in trying to process that and why she did it.”

Savre added that Maya isn’t sure at this stage if she wants to get serious with Jack, saying “it has the potential to be anything”.

“She’s really having to reel from that and saying, ‘Why did I do this, and how do I go about fixing this? If I want to fix it, do I like him? Do I want to be with him?’ You’ll see Maya as confused as she’s ever been,” the star explained.

“At this point, it has the potential to be anything. Right now, even in the next episode, it could blow up in their faces and be the worst thing that’s ever happened. Or they could fall madly in love with each other, and reading the scripts, I really am waiting to see where they’re going to take that.”

There’s a strong sense of family and camaraderie among the Station 19 characters on screen. It feels genuine, and a large part of that undoubtedly comes from the fact that away from the cameras, the cast get on extremely well.

Savre shared that the cast have had barbecues and watch episodes together, as well as go out to celebrate people’s birthdays.

“We love each other a lot. It’s very rare to have that on a show,” she said. “I’ve been doing this for a while and I’ve never had this type of a cast before.

“We really enjoy spending time together. It’s great what they did with the casting. Like you see on the show, everyone’s kind of slightly different and it kind of fits together like a perfect puzzle. We’re very much like that in real life. Obviously our characters in real life are very or somewhat different than our characters on television, but we all fit together perfectly and complement each other in certain ways.”
