‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’: Official Photos of Dafne Keen’s Jecki Lon Revealed
A few weeks back, they released the trailer for the highly awaited ‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’, giving us a glimpse of the setting and characters. Though the plot remains largely unknown, fans are thrilled that it’s set in the High Republic Era, a first for live-action.
Despite this unique backdrop, ‘The Acolyte’ is the second show to explore this era, following ‘Young Jedi Adventures’, which recently concluded. Judging from Headland’s comments, ‘Acolyte’ promises to be different from what we anticipate. She described it as a mix of ‘Frozen’ and ‘Kill Bill’, drawing inspiration from samurai and Wuxia films.

Besides the setting, what really catches attention in the show are its characters. Headland admitted that some characters are original while others, like Vernerstra Rwoh, were lifted straight from the books.
The cast for the upcoming project includes Amandla Stenberg playing Mae, a former padawan turned warrior; Lee Jung-Jae as Sol, a respected Jedi master; Manny Jacinto as Qimir, a former smuggler; Dafne Keen as Jecki Lon, a young Jedi; Jodie Turner-Smith as Mother Aniseya, leader of a coven of witches; Rebecca Henderson as Vernestra Rwoh, a Jedi Knight prodigy; Charlie Barnett as Yord Fandar, another Jedi; Carrie-Anne Moss as Indara, a Jedi Master; Joonas Suotamo as Kelnacca, a Wookiee Jedi master; and Amy Tsang. Dean-Charles Chapman and Margarita Levieva are also part of the project.
Entertainment Weekly got an official sneak peek at Dafne Keen’s character, Jecki Lon. Take a look at the images below.
Well, I’m very excited that we know her name now, because it was secret for so long. And I’m very happy that I get to say that she’s an alien and that she’s a Padawan and that she’s a Jedi. She’s a mixed species — part Theelin, part human. She’s very cool and I have some very cool fights I do with the lightsaber. I really love her. She’s a great character and was really fun to play. I’m very excited that the trailer came out. I was buzzing for days.
The show will have 8 episodes and will debut on Disney+ on June 4th. Want to share your thoughts? Drop a comment below!
